Fashion Advice Starts Here
Just now I was browsing a mainstream fashion blog to try to get ideas for something to write about for my own blog. In doing so, I came across a fashion advice column for which a reader sent in a request for suggestions on what to wear for a given occasion and social atmosphere. I think this is an excellent idea and I’d love to provide that service for my readers as well.
As I’ve mentioned in a previous blog, I love to get feedback from my readers and in an effort to expand this, why not write in a personal experience you’ve had or an upcoming event for which you’re unsure what to wear? Though this is primarily a shoe blog, feel free to ask about fashion in general as well and I’ll help you create a stylish ensemble or give options for accessories to provide the finishing touch to an already mostly-complete outfit.
I know sometimes it can be difficult to determine what to wear with so many options out there. On the other hand, it can seem daunting to find a vegan option for something you saw in a mainstream store. There are vegan companies out there – they just generally take a bit more searching to find, but I’d be happy to do the digging for you.
If you decide to participate in this, please give me as many details as possible and let me know if it is okay to publish your words. I can omit specifics such as name and location if you are not comfortable with revealing that, but giving the general story could be helpful to other readers out there who may also be seeking advice for a similar circumstance. It could also be fun to take pictures or do a follow-up interview after the event to let others know how it went.
This won’t be a Dear Abby type column – I’m not a trained therapist and can’t provide the solution to a life-threatening ordeal, but I can share my expertise in a more light-hearted, cruelty-free realm of fabrics, prints, cuts, and shapes.
